GROW

Growth as a follower of Christ Jesus takes place in intentional, committed relationships. Some of those environments include:

Question: How do I grow in my understanding of Who Jesus is and what it means to be His follower?

Answer: Through regular time of meeting alone with Christ in prayer and the reading His Word. Along with meaningful, intentional, trusting relationships developed within the local church. Some of the ways we achieve this are through:

Discipleship

While groups and studies strengthen us in an understanding and application of God's Word to our lives in general, there is no substitute for knowing and being known by mature believers who can speak into our lives with seasoned, tested wisdom that is grounded in God's Word and the gospel. Every believer has three types of people in their life - those who don't know as much as we do, those who are in a similar place spiritually, and those who's experience with Christ is more seasoned than ours.

So, how do we find these type people? Ideally through prayerfully asking the Lord to open that door and through the above mentioned Grow environments. We're also willing to pray with you and help you meet some mature followers of Christ who would be willing to walk with you and invest in you. If so, please contact Kelly O'Rear.

We need disciplers as well! If you're thinking, "Help! Someone has asked me to disciple them. Now what do I do?" First, you lift up humble praise to God for the opportunity. Second, let us pray with you and help you with appropriate resources for the individual you are about to invest in.

The Children's Ministry of Grace Baptist Church exists to lead all children to be fully devoted followers of Christ.

The Bible is God’s account of how he has revealed himself to his creation. In the Bible, God makes himself known through words and actions to show that all of history is a display of his glory. He made people to know him, and he commands them to make him known to the world.

Believing this to be our most important and relevant task, the GBC youth ministry exists to Know God and Make Him Known as we Prioritize the Word in every aspect of ministry. Students and leaders follow a group-wide Bible reading plan, which fuels our ability and desire to Gather, Grow, and Go equipped with the knowledge of his will.
